To whom might concern:
In accordance with Chinese tradition and rule of laws and regulations, combined with the lack of the order volume, AVD decided 2009-01-17 to 2009-02-01 for our Spring Festival holidays (attention: 4 days more than before).
At the same time, based on the reasons as follows:
1、 The upstream supply chain due to lack of orders, most of upstream suppliers side predict that this time is much longer holidays than before (almost as many as 4 weeks) ;
2、 The whole industrial chain due to lack of operation, significantly reduce overtime over the weekend, and even individual procedures be changed shift to single class work;
3、 Our market is expected to the subsequent order is still insufficient, and the current situation does not allow preparation of inventory, such as the standard product;
4、 Non-consecutive order will lead to higher cost if operation;
5、 In the past years, the holiday was always not enough for employees, so this is a good time to make up and have a good rest;
6、 LCD production line needs more time to resume production after holidays. It needs time to make sure the environment to meet the requirement and the facilities is operated stable then can begin to mass production and reliable.
AVD would give recommendations as follows:
1、 Please concern, in some cases, the cycle of sample or order would be prolonged.
a) We will follow-up this change and give the certain measure to avoid affecting the work of customer.
2、 The subsequent orders will be as much as possible to stagger the holiday to avoid the impact to end-customer.
a) For common product, if release the order on Dec. 29th, please pay attention that the order cycle would be longer. According to the upstream supply chain to determine, in our view until Feb.10, the overall supply side can return to normal mass production.
b) The orders are expected to be slightly longer period in the first week of work (2009-02-02) after holidays.
c) For the relatively complex or special products, the order period should be determined after reviewing.
